01 / Challenge

Challenge

Simulation had narrowed the field to six candidate blade profiles, but the differences were inside the margin of error of the model.

02 / Design

Design

All six were printed at identical settings and orientation so surface finish could not bias the comparison, each keyed to the same test shaft.

03 / Printing Process

Printing Process

PETG at 0.12 mm with six perimeters for water tightness, printed blade-up on a single plate overnight.

04 / Final Result

Final Result

Rig testing separated the candidates clearly and eliminated four of the six in a single afternoon. The winning profile differed from the simulation favourite.
