STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP and STP directly, plus ZIP or RAR archives if you are sending an assembly or several revisions together. STL and 3MF are the most reliable because they carry no ambiguity about units. If you only have a native CAD file such as SLDPRT, F3D or IPT, send it anyway and we will convert it.
Not directly, because a photograph has no depth information. What we can do is build a 3D model from images, which is our most common design request. Several clear photographs from different angles, ideally with a ruler or a coin in frame for scale, are usually enough to reconstruct a part accurately.
Yes. Roughly a third of our jobs arrive without a model. Send a sketch, a photograph, a dimensioned drawing or just a written description, and our design service produces print-ready geometry. You receive the model file along with the printed part, so it is yours to reuse.
Over twenty options across two processes. On FDM: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, wood-filled composites and carbon-fibre reinforced nylon. On resin: standard, tough, clear and castable photopolymers. If you are not sure which suits your part, tell us how it will be used and we will shortlist two or three.
Price is driven by material, weight, print time, layer height, complexity and finishing, so there is no meaningful flat rate. A small prototype in PLA can be a few hundred rupees; a large engineering part in carbon-fibre nylon with a painted finish is a different order of magnitude. The pricing page has an estimate calculator, and uploading your model gets you an exact figure.
Most single prototypes are printed and dispatched within 48 hours of approval. Machine time itself ranges from an hour for a small part to two days for a large sectioned model. Finishing adds time: sanding and priming a day, a full painted finish two to three. We confirm a dispatch date with every quote.
Yes, up to a few hundred units per run. Batches are printed to a fixed process sheet with a first-article check at the start of every plate, so the last unit matches the first. Per-unit pricing improves significantly with quantity because setup is amortised. Beyond about five hundred units, injection moulding usually becomes the better economic answer, and we will tell you when you have reached that point.
We stock black, white, grey, electric blue, red and natural across the common materials. Other filament colours can be sourced within a few days. For an exact brand colour, the reliable route is printing in a neutral shade and painting to a specified code, which is what we do for retail and prop work.
Yes, across India as standard. Parts are packed to survive courier handling, with fragile geometry supported in foam, and tracking is issued the moment the parcel leaves. Within Madurai we also offer hand delivery and collection from the lab, which is often the better option for large or delicate models.
That is a substantial part of what we do. Carbon-fibre reinforced nylon, ABS and PETG produce parts that carry real load, and we design orientation around the load path rather than around print convenience. Our planetary gearbox project ran over two hundred hours on a test rig. Send us the loads and duty cycle and we will tell you honestly whether printing is the right process.
It is manufacturing by addition rather than removal. Instead of cutting a shape out of a block, the object is built up in layers a fraction of a millimetre thick until it exists. Because there is no tooling, changing the design costs nothing but a new file, which is why it is so well suited to prototypes and short runs.
Stronger than most people expect, but directional. An FDM part is significantly stronger along its layers than across them, so orientation is an engineering decision rather than a convenience. In carbon-fibre nylon, printed parts routinely replace machined aluminium in low-load applications. For anything safety-critical, tell us and we will discuss whether printing is appropriate at all.
No. Single parts are welcome and make up a large share of our work. There is a small setup component in every quote covering file preparation and machine time, which is why very small parts do not scale down to a few rupees, but there is no minimum quantity or value.
Yes. Files are used solely to produce your order and are never shared or reused. We will happily sign your NDA before you send anything, and nothing appears in our portfolio without written permission. Several projects we are proudest of are not on this site for exactly that reason.
If it deviates from the approved model or the agreed tolerances, we reprint it at our cost. If the model itself needs to change, that is a normal part of prototyping and we will quote the revision, usually at a reduced rate since setup already exists. Either way, tell us as soon as you see the problem.
Up to 400 by 400 by 450 mm in a single piece. Beyond that we section the model along planes that hide in the design, add interlocking keys so assembly self-aligns, and bond or weld the joints. After filling and finishing the seams are invisible, as on the helmet and tower model in our portfolio.
Treat printed parts as not food safe by default. The layer texture holds bacteria in a way that is difficult to clean, and most filaments are not certified for food contact. Dishwasher temperatures will also deform PLA outright. For anything that touches food, we would rather point you at a different manufacturing route than sell you a part that is unsafe.
