01 / Challenge

Challenge

Eighteen corbels on a heritage facade had eroded past repair. One surviving example held enough detail to reconstruct from, and it could not leave the site.

02 / Design

Design

The surviving corbel was photogrammetry-scanned on site, cleaned into a watertight mesh, and the eroded regions rebuilt by mirroring intact detail from the opposite face.

03 / Printing Process

Printing Process

Printed in resin at 0.05 mm as a casting master, then finished by hand before the mould was taken. Plaster copies were cast from the resulting silicone mould.

04 / Final Result

Final Result

Eighteen replacements cast from one print. The conservation architect signed off the profile against period photographs on the first review.
